BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA – 8, September 2026 – In honour of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Fairmont Pacific Northwest Hotels, including Fairmont Empress, Fairmont Waterfront, Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Fairmont Pacific Rim, and Fairmont Vancouver Airport, are supporting Fairmont Hotels & Resort’s new global fundraising effort to benefit Make-A-Wish®. Throughout the month of September, each hotel will be hosting a community wellness class as part of the ‘Move for Wishes’ initiative.
Move for Wishes launches for the first time this month and will see all five properties joining over 90 Fairmont Hotels & Resorts worldwide with a full array of fundraising classes and experiences in tandem with the brand’s newly launched wellbeing vision Wellness Without Walls, which encourages visitors to exercise at their own pace and move their bodies in a way that both inspires and motivates during their travels.
Open to both hotel guests and local residents, 100% of the proceeds of these tickets for these exclusive experiences benefit Make-A-Wish®. Space is limited and reservations are essential.

Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, at 12:00pm on the Chairman's Suite Terrace
Enjoy a 50-minute Mat Pilates class led by a HOUSE Concepts trainer, rooted in classical Pilates principles and designed to build strength from the inside out. Expect intentional sequencing, precise form cues and seamless transitions in a method-driven, full-body practice. ($50 per person)
Fairmont Waterfront: Move for Wishes - Sunset Float: An Immersive Sound Bath Experience

Begin with ARC Restaurant’s signature Province-to-Plate dining experience, followed by a floating sound bath at the Rooftop Pool. As the sun sets over the harbour, guests will float on the water while immersive sound vibrations encourage deep relaxation. ($159 per person)

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver: Move for Wishes - Move Together with Ballet BC
Friday, September 25th, 2026, at 5:30pm
Strengthen, lengthen, and refine with this unique ballet conditioning class led by Ballet BC MOVE instructor Shana Wolfe in the hotel’s iconic Pacific Ballroom. This beginner class will introduce the basic steps, techniques, and exercises of a ballet barre (without the barre) and centre work, with a focus on proper alignment. ($40 per person)
